are the coolest so I thought I'd post the following article on the recall.
You know all of those banner ads that you see from
classmates.com? Well, I've never clicked on one. Partly because those ads annoy me. And partly because I have no interest in finding old classmates. Well, I read an
article in Inc. magazine about them (they're doing a reality TV series called Classmates TV) and it just blew my mind to find out that they have over 35 million members and $70 million in revenue. So, I finally went and checked out their site. And hey, I found my High School. But I didn't register. I guess I'm just not interested...

Snap, Crackle, Pop!
The screen went black with a few squiggly white lines. Snap, crackle, pop! Strange sounds came from the top of my monitor. I could smell something burning so I quickly dove under my desk and unpluged my monitor. Too late... It was
toast!Well, it was a great monitor. I had it for over five years. And hey, I just happened to have a spare monitor so I was back up and running within minutes. No worries...

Disturbing Traffic Data
I was reading an article on the traffic issues surrounding Labor Day weekend when I stumbled on the
NHTSA site. This is disturbing...
- There were 6.3 million car accidents in 2002, with 42,815 fatalities. That nets out to approximately 117 deaths every single day on our highways. That just blows my mind.
- Forty-One percent of the people who were killed in traffic crashes in 2002 died in alcohol-related crashes.
...and a lot of people are nervous about flying!
