Selling Online Locally: Craigslist

Craiglist.org

Craigslist is basically online classifieds. It's bare bones, free of annoying pop-up ads, and "of the people, by the people, for the people." And since it's a non-profit, Craigslist is free for all except for employers and recruiters who post job openings. Both PayPal and eBay post job openings on Craigslist.

Salary Timer

Salary Timer - Compare your salary to the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

The Burg-o-meter makes lifestyle comparisons even easier by converting wages into useful things like SUVs, grills, golf clubs, burgers or toys. How many Big Macs do you earn in a second compared to Aerosmith, David Letterman, Mel Gibson or Tiger Woods?

The Rotten Sneaker Contest

I heard about this on Fox News today and thought I'd Google it to see what I could find...

Odor-Eaters: Rotten Sneaker Contest

Calling all youngsters age 5-15 who have smelly sneakers with worn-out soles, frayed laces and torn toes! Don't let mom or dad throw those "works of art" out! Put them to good use - enter the Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip for yourself (and a parent/guardian) to participate in the Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest in Montpelier, Vermont - A/K/A The Rotten Sneaker Capital of the World!

JUDGING - Entrants are judged on the overall appearance and smell of his/her sneakers, as well as how the footwear got so fragrant!

Clark Howard

Any Clark Howard fans out there?

The Clark Howard Show airs Monday through Friday on more than 150 stations across the country. Clark answers a variety of consumer questions and brings you the latest consumer news each weekday.

I listen to his radio program whenever I get a chance and I visit his web site from time to time also. It's filled with tons of good info. Check it out...

Study: Blogging Still Infrequent

I'm always interested in finding studies on internet trends and blogging in particular. But I don't know about this study. I think the numbers are a bit high...

Study: Blogging Still Infrequent:
Despite the potential of turning every Internet user into a publisher, relatively few have created Web journals called blogs and even fewer do so with regularity, a new study finds.
